What NTEP Certification Means
The National Type Evaluation Program (NTEP), administered by the National Conference on Weights and Measures (NCWM), tests and certifies weighing instruments and load cells for legal-for-trade use in the United States. An NTEP Certificate of Conformance (CoC) confirms that a device meets the accuracy, repeatability, and environmental performance requirements of NIST Handbook 44.
Equipment used in commercial transactions — where goods are bought or sold by weight — must carry NTEP certification to comply with state weights and measures regulations.

OIML R60 — International Legal Metrology
Global Standards Compliance
The International Organization of Legal Metrology (OIML) publishes Recommendation R60, the international standard for metrological and technical requirements of load cells used in legal weighing instruments. OIML R60 certification enables Transcell load cells to be used in legal-for-trade applications across 63 member countries and 65 corresponding members worldwide.
Transcell load cells are manufactured to meet OIML R60 accuracy class C3 and C6 requirements, supporting multi-interval and multi-range weighing systems for international commerce, customs inspection, and industrial measurement applications.
ISO 9001 — Quality Management System

Transcell Technology operates under an ISO 9001-certified quality management system, independently audited and verified. ISO 9001 certification confirms that our design, manufacturing, calibration, and customer support processes follow documented procedures with consistent quality controls at every stage.
For load cell and weighing instrument buyers, ISO 9001 certification provides assurance that every unit leaving our Illinois facility has been manufactured under controlled conditions, inspected against defined acceptance criteria, and calibrated on NIST-traceable reference standards.
